Self-care is an invaluable part of our lives. Taking care of ourselves allows us to reflect, nurture our bodies and soul, and attend to our personal needs; but it can also have an impact on the community we live and work in.
This workshop is designed for young people who want to develop personal self care strategies and learn how to bring those strategies into a community and workplace setting. Burning out, carrying and not addressing trauma, and allowing our work lives to bleed into our personal lives are all things that seem inevitable, but exploring better self-care practices can challenge those notions. Facilitators will share practical tips and interactive strategies that will encourage youth to make
self-care a priority in their lives.
